Movement
There are three different modes of play in Dungeon Craft which allow player controlled movement: 3D mode, overland mode and combat mode.
In 3D mode, movement can be achieved either via the keyboard or the mouse.
- Up arrow / 8 on numpad: advance one step forward
- Left arrow / 4 on numpad: turn left
- Right arrow / 6 on numpad: turn right
- Down arrow / 2 on numpad: turn in opposite direction to that which currently faced
- 1 on numpad: step left without turning
- 3 on numpad: step right without turning
- 5 on numpad: step backwards without turning
- 'SPACE' key: wait one minute (moves the clock without moving the party)
In overland modeand in combat mode, movement is the same, but different from 3D mode.
- Up arrow / 8 on numpad: move up
- Left arrow / 4 on numpad: move left
- Right arrow / 6 on numpad: move right
- Down arrow / 2 on numpad: move down
- 7 on numpad: move to the upper left
- 9 on numpad: move to the upper right
- 1 on numpad: move to the lower left
- 3 on numpad: move to the lower right
The mouse may be used for movement by placing it relative the party icon/character icon you wish to move and pressing the left mouse button. The cursor is context sensitive and will show you the direction in which you will move.
